UPDATES

Monster Mash

The Nazgûl, Godzilla, Dementors, Mindflayers, and Beholders join the Daggerverse with this week’s hefty Void update. Sixteen new adversaries and four environments give GMs new playthings to throw on the table, but also a glimpse at how the design team is re-interpreting fantasy icons for the game. BonusErrata updated.

Pick Pock(et)

In the third and final instalment of “lol C4 commentariat who said we abandoned Daggerheart,” Mercer and Willingham port Chetney Pock O’Pea from D&D to Daggerheart. Watching these feels like a loot train heist where huge gold stashes are relocated from the Central Bank to a dashing gallery of rogues. Bonus: The GenCon Daggerheart one-shot “Oaths & Ash” goes up on YouTube Monday, Sep 17.

Eternal Flame

Just in time for The Void drop, EmberScreen continues its charge to be your default digital GM screen, adding a stat block creator that allows you to build inline adversaries and environments.

All Gussied Up

The OG-DHSRD has been refreshed with the recent SRD changes. Highlights include updated adversary benchmarks by type, a Hope & Fear flow chart to guide action rolls and GM turns, and new indices tracking conditions, Fear gain, and Hope loss. The update also folds in a set of curated links to other Daggerheart GM tools, making it an even handier one-stop reference.

DISCUSSIONS

Off the Rails

A player recounting how their GM overloaded an encounter led to chunky conversation about balance, railroading, and when a scene should be narrated vs played. Worth a skim.

Your Right to Knight

Responding to a GM question about homebrewing adversaries, Daggerheart contributor Right Knight—who wrote the Custom Adversary Guide for the CRB (and whose excellent campaign frame Era of Shadows was featured in the Dispatch)—ended up hosting a demitasse AMA, touching on how adversaries work, recent errata, and what it was like working with Darrington Press.
